Raymond Thomas “Kruiser” Krugh, (74), of Springfield, Ohio went to his heavenly home on April 15, 2024 after a lengthy illness and a brief stay at VA hospice. He was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1949 to Raymond and Betty Krugh and was a lifelong resident of Springfield. Always a public servant, he was an Air Force Vietnam Veteran and a retired City of Springfield Firefighter and Paramedic. He taught in the paramedic program at Clark State. He loved music, car shows, festivals, tie dye, miniature schnauzers and anything his children were involved in. He sat on the board of Camp Caleb Christian Youth Camp and Conference Center in Eastern Kentucky for over 30 years and was active in the ministries at his home church. It is safe to say if you had an interaction with him, you left with a smile. He brought joy everywhere he went, and some might even call him magical. He was preceded in death by his parents and one niece, Jennifer Kim Harrison. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife and love of 51 years Nancy Williams Krugh, their children Lora Krugh Campbell (James), Raymond (Cristen) Krugh and one grandchild Lucinda Page Krugh (Orlando). He is also survived by one sister Della (Harry) Barber and one brother John (Lori) Krugh, all of Springfield. A special niece Alicia (Tia) Krugh, Springfield; a special great niece Morgan Q. Pfeiffer, Circleville and granddaughter of the heart Shardonay Johnson. Niece Kimberly (Mark) Ciccero, Cleveland; three nephews David (Samantha) Watson, Circleville; John T. Krugh and Mike Krugh, both of Springfield. Numerous great nieces and nephews and a host of special family and friends all over the world. He lived his life fearlessly and unapologetically, and we have loved him with our whole heart. In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a donation in his honor to your favorite charity. His was a life well lived. Visitation is Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at First Free Will Baptist Church 1028 Lafayette Avenue, Springfield with services to follow at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Vale Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Condolences may be shared at www.jkzfh.com.
